From The Mangement

It has been quite a while since I did this piece for the newsletter. I apologize for this and will try and write one every month.

We have just gone through our review process and it was nice getting to spend some time with each and every one of you. I would like to remind you again that the review process doesn’t have to be an adversarial process of Staff vs. management but should be looked upon as a constructive process where both Staff and management gain from each other. There have certainly been some constructive ideas thrown up (e.g. one from Santhosh IP about restructuring our pay slips so we can get slightly better tax benefits) and I assure you that will be looked into and BbyB will try and implement as many of them as we can.

During the course of the reviews both Manju and Vinay told me that they had started work on their MCAD Microsoft certification. Both have cleared a few exams and have a few more to go before they are certified. BbyB congratulates both of them and wishes them all the best for their future exams.

I would like to bring to your attention the technology shift that is taking place within BbyB. We are making the move to .NET and have taken a decision to develop all further modules in this technology. StaffBank already has already gone ahead and the latest version of StaffBank comprises of both old VB and new .NET technology. I would encourage all Staff to start looking at this new and exciting technology.

Projects have really picked up in the last few months. I would like to bring to your attention pFACT, which is growing from strength to strength daily. As a product, it is still in its infancy but has a client list that will make more mature products envious. StaffBank has won the NHSP contract for the North of England and can look forward to some busy times. MESaLS has also gone ahead with development work on Version 4 and its release is being eagerly anticipated. With Version 4, MESaLS can hopefully lay all its past demons to rest and surge forward.

Regards,
Raghu.

Raghu Shenoy went to England from 4-7th Jan to attend a couple of meetings with NHSP. The first meeting in London was to discuss new technologies that StaffBank has to work with. These technologies included XML web services, Computer Telephony interface, SMS etc. The second meeting was at Wakefield and this was to discuss the implementation process for NHSP North, which is going live in the next couple of months.
