Bit by Bit Computer
Services (P) Ltd was started in December 1991, with a vision
to develop quality software using the latest technology,
all the while ensuring both employee and customer satisfaction.
Our initial focus was on creating engineering applications
for small scale industries that needed affordable automation
and within a short period of time, we began developing business
and application software as well.
December 1997 witnessed
a milestone in the history of our company as therein started
our involvement with Baum Hart and Partners, UK. Soon, we
began developing most of the software for BHP’s clients
and explored and mastered Client-Server applications and
Web applications. Most of the software we develop for them
is used by the National Health Services, UK. Very recently,
StaffBank, a software developed by us has won a National
Contract and will be the SOLE system for managing the Nurses
(for their Nursing services) in the UK.
Our skill sets are
primarily Microsoft technology based and hence we have a
lot of experience in areas like .NET technologies, MS Visual
Studio family products like Visual C++, Visual Basic etc.
and database servers like MS SQL Server.
We have a team specializing
in MS Windows CE and MS Pocket PC based handheld devices.
We have developed a Pocket QTM (to computerize the management
of facilities contracts), Pocket MESaLS (for managing equipment
movement across geographic locations) for NHS, and a Pocket
Clubcard to simplify the process of taking orders at restaurants.
For the future, we
intend to consolidate our position and continue to harness
newer technology in developing better software. We already
have an appreciable amount of experience in working with
handheld applications. Our plans include incorporating mobile/wireless
technologies like GPRS, WIFI etc.
Having been awarded
an ISO 9000 certification for Software Development and Maintenance
Services in August 2003, we are now looking ahead at a CMMI
Level 3 certification.
